We were delighted to confirm our formal partnership with the Friendship Circle in the Autumn of 2021. Based in Manchester, the Friendship Circle is a hugely impactful charity who work to enrich the lives of children and adults with disabilities by providing a wide range of fully integrated social and recreational opportunities.
Sue Goldman and Simon Lakmaker are working together on this project. In January 2022, two mentor training evenings took place with six Friendship Circle volunteers who had agreed to take on the role of mentors. Part One of the Speaking Out Forum Public Speaking course started in February, with a group of eleven mentees and has so far been very well received with both mentors and mentees alike. Still in progress.
